Blanchette was awarded the silver medal at the 2006 IWSC. It is a Swiss-style, clear absinthe that was originally created toward the end of the 19th century. It has been developed for the Combier distillery in Saumur, France by T. A. Breaux, Jade Liqueurs, and is hand-crafted using antique copper stills. It has a distinct aroma and a flavor of anise and grande wormwood, with a background of alpine herbs. Golden spoon winner at the 2006 Absinthiades.
