La Fée Parisienne is based on an authentic 19th century recipe and was developed in a French distillery under the supervision of Madame Delahaye. It is the only absinthe authenticated and endorsed by the Musée de l'Absinthe, Auvers-sur-Oise. La Fée Parisienne contains a dozen or more herbs and plants, including Grand Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) It is distilled in Paris - the botanicals are macerated in alcohol and then distilled in accordance with the most traditional methods. It has a rich bouquet and balanced flavor and when water is added louches beautifully. According to Marie-Claude Delahaye, world-renowned absinthe expert and historian "La Fée captures the aroma and taste that great writers and artists such as Rimbaud, Toulouse-Lautrec and Vincent van Gogh enjoyed at the end of the 19th century" La Fée Absinthe Parisienne has been awarded a staggering 3 Golds and a Silver from taste through to packaging at the 2009 Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Awards, adding to Parisienne's ever growing award collection; including Golds from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the Chicago Beverage Testing Institute and the Absinthiades (Pontarlier, France).
