La Fée Absinthe X•S Suisse
La Fée X•S Suisse is produced in the Val-de-Travers region of Switzlerland in the small town of Couvet. Each distillation takes place in small copper stills that produce just over 100 bottles. The finest locally grown herbs, including wormwood are soaked over night, after which natural spring water straight from the Swiss mountains is added. The herbs, wine alcohol and water are then distilled gently for many hours. This results in a clear ‘La Bleue’ extra superior Swiss absinthe that has a smooth texture and delicate anise flavour.
Serving Enjoy by slowly adding three to four parts iced water, which creates a beautiful louche of opalescent colour turning milky white and releases an array of aromas. The La Fée X•S range was launched earlier this year (2007) and has already recieved the following Special Awards Absinthiades 2007 Winner of the Absinthiades Golden Spoon award and overall competition winner International Wine and Spirits Challenge 2007 Winner - ‘Best in Class' and Silver medal. International Spirits Challenge 2007 'New Brand Innovation Award' La Fée Absinthe was "rewarded (for its) excellence in the spirits world" by the judges at the International Spirits Challenge 2007. George Rowley, CEO and brand owner of La Fée said "We have been passionate about absinthe for many years and for La Fée to be presented with an award of this calibre, especially up against such prestigious and recognised products from todays vast spirit market, is very exciting and shows that absinthe as a category is becoming more accepted."
