Champagne and Absinthe

Death In The Afternoon (AKA The Hemingway)

1 measure of absinthe
Champagne

Pour measure of absinthe into a Champagne flute and top up with Champagne

Casino

¼ measure of absinthe
1 sugar cube
Champagne
dash of Cognac
slice of lemon peel

Place sugar cube in a Champagne flute add the absinthe and allow to soak. Fill with Champagne and add the Cognac


Cherry Aid

1 measure of absinthe
½ measure of sloe gin
½ measure of cherry vodka
Dash of maraschino
Dash of syrup de gomme (sugar syrup)
Dash of lemon juice
Champagne

Pour all the ingredients except the Champagne into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake thoroughly. Pour into a Champagne flute and fill with Champagne.
