In 2005 a group of absinthe enthusiasts, fed up with the overall poor quality being produced in Germany, decided to hold their own experiment. A collection of home-made absinthes were entered into a competition, just for fun, and the winner was to be placed into small-scale production. 30 litres of the winning recipe were produced, but as soon as forum members began tasting they demanded more... Eichelberger 68 Verte was then commercially produced. See what all the hype was about - try for yourself - or if you prefer try the Blanche version.
