A traditional style absinthe, apart from its wonderful red color (originally from paprika) which turns to an even more luscious apricot when water is added! It looks so good that it seems a sin to drink it! But we think you'll love its mild but complex taste.

Segarra Absinthe 45abv 1L

From Destilerías Julián Segarra, a much smaller distillery where the creation of absinthe is almost a "made by hand" process. The wormwood is collected personally by Julián Segarra in the Maestrazgo Hills, and is distilled delicately for 18 hours. No additives and made to a family recipe. At 45% abv (90 proof), this is almost too easy to drink, and while it is not cheap, it is worth every peseta (Editor's Note: we don't sell in pesetas any more, but somehow "salud, euros y amor" does not make a good absinthe toast!).

Ulex Pierre Ordinaire Absinthe 55abv 70cl

Named after the doctor who is supposed to have been the first creator of absinthe, Pierre Ordinaire offers Ulex strength of taste and flavor at a lower alcohol strength. 55% abv (110 proof). The bottle comes wrapped in paper which protects it from sunlight: this is not intended to allow you to drink it from the bottle in the street!
