Huguet comes from Andorra, one of the world's smallest and highest countries ("high" meaning height above sea level in this case), located between Spain and France. Huguet's grandfather started production in 1937 to satisfy the then absinthe-deprived French. Made with the same methods today, Huguet Absinthe is macerated for three weeks, making the wormwood more mellow and adding the delicate flavor of anise.
